About Me

Brian Halliday is a native of the Capital Region. He has been studying the piano for the last 20 years. After high school, he attended SUNY Purchase in Westchester County to study Jazz Performance. There, he studied privately with world renowned pianist, Donald Vega. Along with his studies, he performed in and around New York City with fellow students and professors. Brian began teaching private lessons at The Music Cottage in Brewster, NY.

Upon graduating, Brian returned to the Capital Region where he taught in both public schools and at The Music Studio in Albany, NY. Along with teaching piano for the last 10 years, Brian plays regularly around Upstate New York as a solo artist and as a part of the band Soul Session. Musically, he works on all genres, playing primarily jazz, pop, and rock, along with being well versed classically from the start of his musical career.
